How to generate discipline and harvest your success
Your daily agenda determine your success. As you sow, so shall you ripe. What you do today will pay dividends in the future. I am a firm believer in the law of cause and effect.
This law says that for every cause, there is an effect. When you train a muscle, it will become stronger. When you invest in yourself, you will know more and increase your value. Your income is in direct proportion to the value you give to the market place.
It is essential to do the things that eventually will pay off in favor of the short term gains that so many people undertake instead. Eating the right kind of food, doing your exercise, growing and stimulating your mind, taking care of your loved ones and contributing to a higher cause are all examples of things leading to a more fulfilled life.
We all know what to do, but still, so many of us do differently. I have like others made New Year's resolutions but instead finding myself breaking my promise after just a few weeks. I am not alone. 99% of people are not willing to do what It takes to make their dreams come true.
Why is it so hard to follow through and do the right things? The answer is that we don't have enough reasons for changing our behaviors. You cannot win the war against the world if you cannot win the battle against your mind.
The medicine is that you need to know what you want together with the purpose. Then take massive action to reach the goal. This RPM-method (Result, Purpose, Massive action) has helped me with my accomplishment in life, and it can help you too.
One thing I know is that self-discipline is a necessity for reaching your potential and living a fulfilled and happy life. If you are willing to pay the price, you will reach your goals.
The elevator to success is out of order, but the stairs are always available – Zig Ziglar
When you take small steps and do the right things over time, it becomes a habit. Your self-confidence increases, and you can trust yourself when you deliver.
The way you see yourself is the way you see others. Trusting yourself is the first step to trust others.
Working on your self-image is the best thing you can do to be more disciplined. The most influential force in human behavior is to be consistent with the way you see yourself.
Therefore, affirmations such as saying to yourself that I am…. Disciplined, are so important. The trick is to say the attributes that you would like to claim, in this case, it is to be disciplined.
Another essential prerequisite for self-discipline is accountability. When you say to yourself that you are responsible, you act differently. Excuses won't be in your vocabulary, and you will create a great deal of personal pride and self-respect when you deliver on target.
By celebrating your disciplined generated result, you reinforce the positive behavior. Write down the things you are proud of and what you have done and. Say to yourself that "I Freaking rock," and continue doing so over time and notice how your confidence will increase and your working ethics get stronger.
