Have a vision and be passionate about it

People will follow you if you show them that you have a passion for your vision and your goals. If you explain the reasons why and how the result or the journey will benefit the people, you will also gather followers.

The hope of the future will create action in the present.

Show courage

When you show courage, the spine will rise of the people around you, because it is contagious. Face your fears, and do it. Don’t listen to the people who want to pull you down. Believe in yourself and visualize the success before it has happened.

Connect with people before you ask for their help

People don´t care how much you know until they know how much you care. If they feel that you are there for them and that you have their interests at first, they will listen to you and help you. Zig Ziglar has said that

“You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”

Be interested in people in a genuine way

If others feel that you are interested in them, they will be interested in you. People with charisma make other people shine, and the shine will reflect at them in one way or the other.

The foundation of leadership is trust

By giving trust to people or groups, they will improve their performance. Create trust by using Trust-equation.

Trust =(Credibility + Reliability + Intimacy)/ Self-orientation.

Credibility- The importance of being able to “walk the talk.” You need to lead by example and do the things you want others to do. For example, you need to show that you can cooperate with your stakeholders if you want your people to cooperate with their stakeholders. People do what you do, not what you want them to do.

Reliability- Keep your word, and if you give a promise, you must deliver. The best way is also to do a little more than others expect and to be able to do that you need to know what is expected of you.

Intimacy- Create a connection with others by showing them that you care and that you are there for them. Learn the 6 Human needs use the knowledge when you lead others.

Self-Orientation- Give the team or the people credit for their success and take the responsibility yourself when the result doesn’t add up to the expectation. Put your people first and help them to succeed. Praise others in front of others on the behavior you want to see more of.

Be honest

Tell the truth and explain your “why” as often as possible. If people know your intent or the reasons behind your decision, they are more likely to follow your direction. Involve as many you can in the decision making, which will help you with the commitment.

Establish a learning organization

Create an organization that considers failing as a learning opportunity. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn. Studies have shown that people how to fail the most also become better than others in their areas of the profession.

The importance of praise and recognition- Everyone wants to be valued and have a sign over their head that says, “See me and recognize me.”
